Sustainable Use of Biomass Boiler Ash as a Reinforcement Filler for Polyamide 6 Composite

The use of biomass combustion ash as a reinforcing filler has taken the attention in recent years to reduce overall production cost and increase mechanical properties plastics. This study evaluates effect boilers (BBA) on polyamide 6 composites (PA6). chemical composition thermal stability BBA were analyzed by X-ray fluorescence (XRF), Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), Differential (DTA) thermographs. Test samples prepared varying content (2.5%, 5%, 7.5%, 10%), also without adding control. Moreover, surface modification was carried out using N-2 (Aminoethyl) 3-aminopropyl triethoxy diamino-silane possible coupling agent for it tested concentration (0.5%, 1%, 2%) dry process extrusion injection molding processes. Comparative degree crystallinity, including tensile, flexural, tested. highest crystallinity obtained with 7.5% BBA-filled composites. addition 2% surface-modified (SBBA) filled (PA6 / 10% Ash CA) showed an tensile strength elongation at break than unmodified (UBBA) (PA6/ Ash) Stress peak bending modulus values flexural test data increased up 10%. But significantly reduced increasing modifying due increment stiffness composite.
